Caparison introduce the JSM – the long awaited signature model of Joel Stroetzel, of Killswitch Engage. The headstock design of the JSM is the same as an Caparison Angelus but the neck has the profile of a TAT model. Through-body stringing has been incorporated to cope with down tuning and heavier gauge strings. The tailpiece has also been very finely adjusted for the tension of each individual string and the bridge pickup position has also been adjusted to produce a richer sound. Hipshot locking tuners and a Graph Tech Black TUSQ nut are included for their tuning stability in harsh stage environments.

In September 2007, Gibson introduced the DG-335, designed in collaboration with the Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl. It was discontinued recently. Grohl’s Inspired By DG-335 has the classic Firebird-style headstock with six-on-a-side tuners set into an ES-335 style semi-hollow body. The body of the guitar has stylish diamond f-holes and a double cutaway design. The inlays on the rosewood fretboard are acrylic split diamond which is a unique feature that remains from the original Trini Lopez model. The guitar was available in two colors – Pelham Blue and Ebony.

The ESP Richard Z RZK-II Burnt was developed and designed by ESP in collaboration with Rammstein-guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe. The neck is a neck-through-body construction and is made of mahogany with U contour. The fingerboard is made of rosewood, 24 extra jumbo frets featuring oversized dot inlays. Two EMG 81 pickups power this monster – harnessed only with a master volume knob and a three-way toggle switch. The bridge is equipped with an original Floyd Rose double locking tremolo bridge with chrome plating and locking string nut.
