Schecter introduces the new Synyster Gates Custom-S for 2013. The big difference with the Custom-S over the Custom is the pickups. The Custom-S stands for Sustainiac humbucker in the neck and this is paired with a Seymour Duncan Synyster Gates Invader humbucker in the bridge position. Other features include Mahogany body, 3-piece Mahogany neck, Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge, Grover Rotomatic tuners and Ebony fingerboard with Syn Death Bat inlays.

Zacky Vengeance was playing a stock lefty S-1 See-Thru Cherry in Avenged Sevenfold before becoming an official Schecter artist. He decorated his S-1 with stick-on 6661 numbers. When Schecter set out to design his first signature model, he wanted to incorporate these. Basically the Zacky Vengeance Custom 6661 is upgraded S-1, features included Set-In 24.75” scale 22-fret mahogany neck,’6661’ inlay at the 12th fret, mahogany body, TonePros system , Chrome hardware and Grover tuners. Dual Seymour Duncan JB (SH4) humbuckers have been standard on all of his Schecter Artist Customs.
