Patrick James Eggle guitars produce 30-40 guitars a year hand-crafted in Shropshire, England. The 96 Drop Top features exotic tonewoods choices such as Myrtlewood, Spalted Maple, Swamp Ash, Santos Rosewood, Koa, Walnut with natural tops in dark grained or matt limed finishes showcasing the beautiful wood.
The pickups are handwound humbuckers & single-coils made by Mojo Pickups’ Marc Ransley in West Yorkshire. There are 2 Mojo single-coils (neck and middle), 1x Mojo humbucker (bridge), 5-way blade pickup selector, master volume, pull-push master tone (activates coil split).
“We use light and resonant Swamp Ash for the body, then choose a uniquely figured set of wood for the drop-top and round it off with a micro thin finish. But the devil’s in the detail.
