Ibanez introduce the TAM100 8-string signature guitar for Tosin Abasi (Animals As Leaders). Based on the RG2228, Tosin wanted something more unique and streamlined for his needs. Ibanez collaborated with Tosin to get his ideal specs for the guitar including: basswood body with a figured maple top, slim 5-piece wenge/bubinga neck, DiMarzio Ionizer8 H-S-H pickups, and the Ibanez FX EDGE lll-8 double-locking fixed bridge – made specifically to handle and augment the awesome extended range of the 8-string models.

“First thing I did was thin out the neck. I went with the Wenge neck because it has really interesting clarity and character to it. Although I’m a fan of Maple necks I find that they sound pretty ubiqitous and I really wanted to create a guitar that has its own sound” (Tobin Abasi)
