The Ibanez Talman is back! The new Ibanez Talman Prestige TM1702 is a resurrection of one of Ibanez’s most requested guitar models of the past two decades. The original Ibanez Talman was introduced in 1994 but was only made commercially for 4 years before being discontinued in 1998…
The Ibanez Talman Prestige TM1702 is a combination of Japanese craftsmanship and American inspiration giving that familiar feel reminiscent of guitars from the 50’s and 60’s. And while true to the original of the early 90’s, today’s Talman brings with it a familiar, yet fresh sound that places it squarely at the crossroads of modern Ibanez innovation and cherished traditional tone.
The TM1702 features an Alder body, a Maple “Talman Classic-Plus” 22-fret neck with a traditional “C” shape. The fingerboard is smooth, easy-playing Rosewood, Tuners are Gotoh locking machine heads, the Bridge is an IFX-PRO fixed bridge equipped with six individual string saddles. Talman Prestige models feature Seymour Duncan® pickups, known for their uncanny sweet, classic tone and great sustain — ideal for country, pop, blues or classic rock.
