New Ibanez KIKO10BP Kiko Loureiro signature guitar. This is almost identical to the KIKO10P Ibanez introduced in their Premium line in 2014 but has a new Transparent Gray Burst finish. The Ibanez KIKO10BP Kiko Loureiro signature features a thicker Alder body with a flamed Maple arch top. The horn cut is Kiko’s unique extra-deep scoop cutaway at the back of the body which allows even easier access to high frets from any angles. The neck is 5-piece Maple with Walnut stripes, Rosewood fingerboard, 25.5″ scale length and 24 Jumbo frets with premium fret edge treatment. The 12th fret features a special Kiko inlay in Abalone based on native Brazilian patterns. There are three pickups – a pair of custom DiMarzio KIKO humbucking pickups flanking a custom DiMarzio KIKO single coil. The humbuckers can be coil-tapped on the volume control (push/pull) to offer single coil type sounds. The bridge is an original Edge-Zero II double locking tremolo which has been spec’d by Kiko with a lower profile for playing comfort, and stud lock function for stable tuning.

The KIKO10BP is produced in Indonesia to Premium-level standards. It is very similar to the KIKO100 which is MIJ (made in Japan) in the Ibanez Prestige line. The KIKO10BP uses the same custom KIKO Original pickups but has a slightly lower grade Edge-Zero II double locking tremolo. The KIKO100 MIJ model also has scalloped frets on the 19th to 24th frets.
