Dean Guitars expand their ’79 Series Guitars with new Dean 79 Z Flame Top – built to the original specs of the original 1979 Deans including the oversized Series 2 V-shaped headstock, bound Maple top and zebra humbuckers. The 2017 guitars have a Flame Maple top, comes in hardtail or Floyd Rose Special bridge and they’re made in China not Korea…
The Dean 79 Z Flame Top features a solid Mahogany body with a flat Flame Maple top (2-piece top, matched pieces). The neck is Mahogany with a V-shaped profile, glued-in construction, 24-3/4″ scale length, Rosewood fingerboard with white binding, pearl dot inlays, 12″ radius and 22 jumbo frets. The hardware features include a Tune-O-Matic bridge OR Floyd Rose Special bridge, dual DMT Design humbuckers, Floyd Rose R3 Nut (43mm width), vintage 3-way switching and Grover tuners.
