Ernie Ball Music Man introduce a new line called the Modern Classic Collection and a brand new guitar model for 2016 – the Cutlass. The Cutlass is a resurrection of a prototype guitar that Leo Fender designed for Music Man in the late 1970’s but never saw the light of day…
The Cutlass features updated vintage spec electronics, a super smooth Music Man Modern tremolo system and lightweight Alder body, 25 1/2-inch scale, 10-inch radius, Schaller M6-IND locking tuners & 22 high-profile medium stainless steel frets. The Cutlass comes loaded with 3 custom Music Man mid-60’s-style staggered-pole single-coil pickups and an active wide spectrum silent circuit keeps the single-coils hum-free. Oversized 4 over 2 headstock with straight string pull provide superior tuning stability and flawless craftsmanship throughout make the Cutlass a perfect culmination of old world aesthetics and styling with modern design and playability.
