Fender add new models to their Offset lineup and re-introduce their Duo-Sonic guitar. The new Duo-Sonic HS is a modernized version of a student-turned-classic instrument originally released in 1956 with extra twists, some extra features and some cool new colours. The HS refers to the Humbucker & Singlecoil pickup combination whereas the standard Duo-Sonic has two Singlecoils…

The Fender Duo-Sonic HS has a shorter, more compact 24″ scale length unlike other Fender guitars. Because of that it has a different tone, the notes are conveniently closer together to help with chord voicing and playability. The 9.5″ radius fingerboard with C-shape neck profile gives a lot of control over the fingerboard as well as the medium jumbo frets. In terms of tonal versatility the Duo-Sonic HS has a coil-split in the bridge pickup so you’re getting the best of the singlecoil sound in the humbucking pickup. Unlike the vintage Duo-Sonic from the 1950’s the HS has a six-saddle hardtail bridge with string-through body so stays in tune with great intonation.

Packed with attitude, the 2016 Fender Offset lineup is for artists who aren’t afraid to defy definition. The Duo-Sonic guitar delivers the giant sound of three-chord rebellion. Plug it in, turn it up and create something new.
